Get ready to get your hands muddy! In this beginner friendly, one time pottery wheel workshop, you’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing while creating your own ceramic travel coffee cup. No previous pottery experience is needed, guest instructor Chloe will guide you through the process from start to finish. After your cup has been made, it will need time to dry and be fired in the kiln. You’ll return at a later date to glaze your cup, choosing your glaze and adding the finishing touches before its final firing. Come ready to learn, create, and have fun at the wheel while making a one-of-a-kind travel cup that’s uniquely yours!
Chloe is an Orlando local who has been making pottery for over 10 years. She specializes in wheel throwing and loves creating functional, one-of-a-kind pieces meant to be used and enjoyed. Some of her favorite forms to make are large serving bowls and planters, where she can play with shape, texture, and glaze.
Prerequisites: should be able to center up to 1lb of clay on your own.
